Using Quill

Terms of use

Who can use it

Quill is an operations tool for the invited Quorum team. It is not a public meeting-recording service. Access is managed by the Quorum Discord server owner. The operator controls which rooms, roles, calendar, and archive are connected.

Before and during a meeting

Meeting organizers must tell participants when Quill will record and explain where the recording and notes go. Use Quill only for meetings the team is authorized to record and process. A participant who does not want to be recorded should ask the organizer to stop Quill or arrange an unrecorded conversation.

Use /quill stop to stop a current recording. Stopping recording does not erase captured audio or cancel processing already completed. Contact the server owner for corrections or deletion requests.

Notes and scheduling

Quill uses automated transcription and AI-generated summaries. Names, statements, decisions, dates, and assignments can be wrong or incomplete. Review consequential notes and Calendar invitations and tell the operator when something needs correction.

When enabled, Quill can create new ad hoc Calendar meetings from clear CEO or CTO scheduling intentions without a second signoff. Configured defaults resolve routine omissions. Unresolved details or incomplete recordings should be raised for clarification. Existing and recurring events are not automatically changed or deleted.

Availability and responsibility

Quill depends on the operator's Mac, internet access, available storage, the desktop review schedule, and connected providers. Capture or processing may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Keep your own record of time-sensitive decisions and check that invitations were actually created.

Do not use Quill to collect information you are not authorized to share with the team and the services described in its privacy policy. Do not share its credentials or expand archive/channel access without the operator's authorization.

Operation and changes

The operator may pause or retire Quill, change its configuration, or correct its output. Material changes to recording, data use, or scheduling behavior will be communicated to the team before use. Provider terms also apply when using Discord, Google, and ChatGPT/Codex.
